Today Olson Kundig is pleased to announce multiple promotions within the firm. Laura Sinn and Hallie Terzopolos have been promoted to Principal, and Hallie has also been named the Co-Director of Interiors. On the Marketing team, Cate O’Toole has been promoted to Communications Manager and Lucy Shirley has been promoted to Graphic Design Manager. These promotions recognize each individual’s leadership on internal teams and initiatives, as well as their impact on the culture of Olson Kundig and contributions to the firm’s diverse portfolio of work around the world.

Laura Sinn is a highly versatile designer who brings a detail-oriented, organized approach to many of the firm’s largest mixed-use and workplace projects, choreographing experiences at a variety of scales. As a dedicated mentor within the office and an organizer of Olson Kundig’s weekly Crit, Laura works to foster the firm’s long-standing culture of open design dialogue, experimentation and collaboration.

Hallie Terzopolos has a strong focus on narrative and storytelling to her work on hospitality and residential design, as well as cultural projects and installations. In her role as Co-Director of Interiors, Hallie works with interior design and architectural team members to build concepts around the user experience and spatial procession that seamlessly integrate architecture, interiors and landscape.

Cate O’Toole manages Olson Kundig’s communications team, who work closely with leaders and technical staff to develop narrative content, support internal and external communication initiatives, and share the firm’s work, people and cultural touchstones with a wide audience. A published fiction writer, Cate is active in the Seattle chapter of the Society of Marketing Professional Services (SMPS).

Lucy Shirley leads the graphic design team at Olson Kundig, drawing on visual storytelling to explain complex concepts. Lucy collaborates with firm leadership and team members to develop materials in support of business development and communications efforts, aligned with the visual identity of the firm. She is active with the Society for Environmental Graphic Design (SEGD) chapter in Seattle.
