Bay Area Discovery Museum Receives Interior Design Best of Year Award

On December 9, Bay Area Discovery Museum, led by principal/owner Alan Maskin was honored with a 2021 Interior Design Best of Year award in the Kids’ Zone category! The international Best of Year award program recognizes significant interior design projects, as well as products, individual designers and manufacturers.
Located in Sausalito, California, beside the Golden Gate Bridge, the Bay Area Discovery Museum renovation maintains the architectural integrity of the historic site while transforming the visitor experience with exhibits incorporating STEM concepts like digital fabrication and systems thinking to build creative problem-solving skills in children and transform the way they learn. A campus-wide master plan outlines a phased approach to future expansion to strategically position the museum for longevity and long-term resilience.
