Alan Maskin, Blair Payson, and New Heights Featured on Design:ED Podcast

Earlier this month, Olson Kundig principals/owners Alan Maskin and Blair Payson joined host Aaron Prinz on the Design:ED podcast to discuss the project featured in the book, New Heights: Transforming Seattle’s Iconic Space Needle, available now from Images Publishing.

The conversation explored The Century Project at the Space Needle, the project that reimagined Seattle’s most notable landmark. As project design lead and project architect, respectively, Alan and Blair were deeply involved with the project from early concept stages through construction and completion. They shared their experiences working on a project five hundred feet in the air, which pushed the limits of modern engineering and construction technology, just as the original Space Needle did when it was built in 1962.

Design:ED is supported by Architectural Record, and is available through a variety of streaming platforms, including Apple Podcasts.
