Steven Rainville & Vikram Sami to Speak at Facades+ Southeast Conference
On June 24, Olson Kundig principal Steven Rainville and Director of Building Performance Vikram Sami will be featured speakers at the Architect’s Newspaper Facades+ Southeast conference, “Multi-Material Enclosures & Ventilated Facades of Atlanta.” Panels and learning sessions throughout the virtual conference focus on the industry’s increasing need to balance sustainable design considerations with design aesthetics through high-performing cladding and façade systems. Shelby Morris, Director of Commercial, Atlanta, for HKS Architects, will chair the conference.
For their panel, “Facade as Filter: Building for the Environment,” Steven and Vikram will be joined by Jim Hanford and Brian Court of Miller Hull. The panelists will dive deep into two projects – 760 Ralph McGill Boulevard, designed by Olson Kundig and the Kendeda Building at Georgia Tech, designed by Miller Hull – to showcase how their envelope design solutions addressed a range of incredibly complex and multifaceted conditions.
More information about the Facades+ Southeast conference, including registration details, is available via the conference website.
