Olson Kundig Wins Four Chicago Athenaeum Awards
2017/03/30
We’re excited to announce that four Olson Kundig projects have received Chicago Athenaeum American Architecture Awards. Shinsegae International, Martin’s Lane Winery, Sawmill and Charles Smith Wines Jet City have all been recognized with this design excellence award. The American Architecture Award honors innovative buildings designed by American architects in both the U.S. and abroad, with Shinsegae International and Martin’s Lane located in Seoul, South Korea and Kelowna, British Columbia, respectively. The four award-winning projects reflect the breadth of new commercial and residential work led by Owner/Principal Tom Kundig, FAIA.
This year’s American Architecture Awards were focused on discussions concerning environmental issues, social context, and technical and constructive solutions. On April 27, the Chicago Athenaeum will honor the winning architects and clients at an awards presentation and gala at the Orlando Museum of Art. This summer, the Chicago Athenaeum will present an exhibition of all awarded buildings at Contemporary Art Space in Athens, Greece. We are delighted to share the honor of these awards with our valued clients and partners.
