Brian Walters

Associate Principal | AIA, LEED AP

Since joining Olson Kundig in 2013, Brian Walters has worked primarily on the firm’s urban commercial and mixed-use projects. While his work spans a variety of scales—ranging from interiors-focused tenant improvement projects to large, multi-block developments—each creates an opportunity to engage with the existing context of a project site and contribute to the layers of history and development that compose the urban fabric.

In his role as project manager, Brian enjoys collaborating closely with diverse groups of stakeholders to develop elegant solutions to complex program and site requirements, and advocate for each project’s specific vision and goals. Mindful of the enduring legacy of architectural interventions, he works to integrate sustainable design practices within his projects and coordinate external certification, from LEED to the Living Building Challenge. Brian also served on Seattle’s Design Review Board for four years, giving him a unique and specialized insight into jurisdictional processes and effective approaches for engaging the public.
