Located in a preserved natural wilderness, the new One&Only Moonlight Basin resort will contain private estate residences and luxury hotel amenities. Along with the Main Lodge and central Ski Lodge, the resort will also include a destination restaurant, spa and kids area.
The planning of One&Only Moonlight Basin celebrates and harmonizes with its remarkable mountain site. The design approach seeks to be light on the land, with architecture as minimal a disturbance on the landscape as possible. Each building will frame and reveal the untouched beauty of this special place, uniting visitors and residents with nature in a series of public and private moments.
Architecture frames nature, placing the emphasis on the Montana landscape. A modular fabrication and construction approach means the architecture is light on the land, minimizing environmental impact and site disturbance. Close attention to craft and materiality allow the buildings to tell the story of their place, bringing guests closer to the Montana landscape.
