A invaluably piece of successful design is being able to set aside your preferences and step into the client’s shoes. Being able to perceive what someone is searching for and translating that into your own voice is a kind bilingualism I prize.

Megan Adams

Associate

Following roles at design firms in the UK and Seattle, interior designer Megan Adams joined Olson Kundig in 2017 and was promoted to Associate in 2022.

Megan focuses primarily on high-end residential interior design, as well as occasional hospitality and commercial projects. Reflective of many meaningful experiences growing up in Asia, the US, and Europe, her design aesthetic is diverse and sophisticated—and punctuated by careful curation of unique organic shapes, when the context allows.

As a designer, Megan works closely with Olson Kundig’s architectural teams to ensure building design and interior goals are aligned throughout each project, while helping each client identify their personal style aesthetic to make their home their own. She enjoys forging true partnerships on each project, finding beauty in opportunities for one-on-one connections. Megan especially loves the challenge of diving deeply into design to fuse diverse—and sometimes unexpected—interior elements into one cohesive, appealing whole.

At Olson Kundig, Megan serves on the Interiors Leadership Group as well as the Crit Crew, which organizes the firm’s long-standing weekly tradition of design critique and shared learning. Outside of work, she is an avid traveler and foodie, and enjoys combining these with sailing and live music when she can. In quiet moments, you might also find her reading or adding to her growing Vinyl collection.
