Emmy relishes in the construction phase, working closely with clients, fabricators, builders, and craftspeople throughout the design journey. She sees this stage—where details are experienced at a human scale—as the moment a vision becomes tangible. Previously, Emmy worked at Foster + Partners, where she managed construction administration for projects such as the Steve Jobs Theater on Apple’s Cupertino campus, Apple retail, and hospitality environments. These experiences honed her skills in navigating complex design and construction challenges with adaptability and creative problem-solving.
Emmy credits her time in Finland with shaping her design sensibilities, instilling a lasting appreciation for Scandinavian minimalism’s simplicity and functionality. Currently renovating her 1917 craftsman home in Seattle, Emmy enjoys the freedom in designing her own space while continuing to sharpen her professional expertise.
