Architecture is the delicate art of creating spaces that find harmony in the balance between scientific precision and artistic inspiration, where every line drawn serves both function and beauty.

Claudia Maggiani

Senior Associate | AIA, NCARB

Claudia has 25 years of experience in designing and managing complex projects, including resorts, convention centers, sports and entertainment venues, mixed-used developments, and commercial spaces. Her expertise spans all stages, from initial programming and design to construction administration.

Skilled in engaging and managing clients, consultants, and project teams, Claudia strives to set well-defined roles and expectations through direct communication. Since joining Olson Kundig in 2020, she has successfully led projects with a flexible, creative approach to problem-solving, particularly in the realm of luxury hospitality. She effectively collaborates with operators, developers, and design teams to create an unforgettable guest experience.

Born and raised in Brazil, Claudia obtained her master’s in architecture in the US. In 2012, she returned to Brazil to deliver projects and establish office operations for a leading global architecture firm. Her understanding of both cultures and business practices enabled her to bridge gaps, streamline processes, and ensure the successful integration of the company into the local market. She not only contributed to the firm’s growth, but also brought the international perspective to her home country.

Claudia believes a good team chemistry is the cornerstone of any successful endeavor.

“Life is short and precious, and the time we spend working should be fulfilling and enjoyable. When you collaborate with people whose company you genuinely enjoy, the work becomes more than just a series of tasks—it transforms into a shared journey. Positive energy, mutual respect, and a sense of camaraderie make even the most complex challenges feel manageable. In my experience, projects thrive not just on technical expertise, but on the strength of the relationships within the team. When everyone is aligned, motivated, and happy to work together, success follows naturally, and the work becomes a source of joy rather than just a means to an end.”
