Principal | LEED AP
Since joining Olson Kundig in 2005, Principal Alivia Owens has worked across a broad range of project types, including large-scale residential projects. Alivia’s extensive experience from early concept development through final construction administration ensures designs are executed down to the finest technical details. A highly organized and detail-oriented architect, Alivia applies her experience with 3-D modeling and BIM technology to solve buildability issues and communicate design intent to both internal teams and clients.
Alivia grew up helping her father with building projects, including a family hunting cabin in the Ozarks, which nurtured her approach to hands-on problem solving and an appreciation for natural materials. She enjoys collaborating with craftspeople and artisans, as well as interior design teams, to incorporate interesting materials and textures. In addition to her project work, Alivia is a member of Olson Kundig’s Quality Control (QC) Taskforce. Outside of her project work, she enjoys crafting with fabric and textiles.
