The winery had amassed an extensive collection of vessels associated with the drinking, making and storing of wine—ranging from ancient Greek, early Roman and contemporary examples. The concept for their display was to weave the collection through the many buildings and wine‑storage vaults, animating the collection and providing a constant reference to wine making’s past. An aesthetic consistency between the winery architecture and the exhibits—artifact casework, artifact mounts, exhibit lighting, maintenance, security and interpretive graphics—creates a seamless experience.
