Olson Kundig is honored to share that our short film, Counterweight, has received two distinctions in the 2025 Architizer Vision Awards: Jurors’ Choice–Architectural Video of the Year: Profile or Interview, and Best of Year–Videography.

Selected by a global panel of industry experts and thought leaders, the Jurors’ Choice Award celebrates outstanding works that capture the essence of architecture, while demonstrating technical excellence, artistic vision, and storytelling impact. The Best of Year Award—the program’s highest honor—recognizes the most innovative, evocative, and technically masterful works submitted to this year’s Architizer Vision Awards.

“For over 25 years, we’ve designed buildings with components that move—born from Tom Kundig’s ideas and Phil Turner’s brilliant engineering mind,” shares principal/owner Alan Maskin. “Film is the only medium that truly captures the origin and evolution of our kinetic portfolio, and Counterweight illustrates the scores of Olson Kundig buildings that examined the role that motion might play.”
