Romie de Hillary, JD, joined Olson Kundig in 2021 and was promoted to Director of Legal Affairs shortly after. Continuing her extensive in-house legal counsel career in business operations and contracts, corporate compliance and employment matters, insurance issues, intellectual property, and construction law, she is responsible for managing and navigating legal and contracting matters for Olson Kundig. Romie teams with executive leadership, principals, project managers and administration personnel to strategically drive and support Olson Kundig’s global project portfolio, business initiatives and growth, all while assessing risk to protect the designs and reputation of the firm.
Prior to joining Olson Kundig, Romie’s legal experience included civil litigation, serving as counsel for a large nationwide private operating foundation, and most recently, as corporate counsel for general contractors and mechanical engineering firms. Romie is active in local and nationwide construction law sections, as well a member of both the Washington State Chapter of the Association of Corporate Counsel and King County Bar Association. As a patron of visual and performing arts, Romie has served and volunteered for several Seattle arts boards and non-profits, as well as other local arts, design events and programs.
